Within the FP7-REGPOT-2008-1-229801 project: Unlocking the Croatian Textile Research Potentials: T-Pot), The Faculty of Textile and Technology, Zagreb University and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts invite you to join the project's Dissemination Conference. The conference will be held on February 16, 2012 in the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts, Ilica 49/II at 9 AM.
In addition to the Croatian and EU partners, the following representatives will also hold lectures: EURATEX, OPTEKO Group, tt. HEMCO and tt. ERACON. Promotion of books, published within the framework of the T-Pot project will be held in the afternoon as well as an exhibition of protective materials and clothing produced by the students or by the Croatian producers and project partners.

Textile Forum, organized by Textile Science Research Centre in cooperation with Cotton incorporated, Cary, North Carolina, USA.
Forum will be held on 30th January 2012 at the premises of University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology.
The following presentations will be held by Cotton Incorporated representatives Ken Greeson & Erik Phillips:
- - Cotton Incorporated: Corporate Overview
- - Cotton’s Market Presence in Women’s Wear
Presentations will start at 10 AM in lecture hall 301 (third floor) at the location of faculty¢s main building at Prilaz baruna Filipovića 28a.
Second part of the forum entitled:
- - Guidelines for Submitting Research Proposals to Cotton Incorporated
will be held at the premises of Textile Science Research Centre, Savska 16/9.

Purpose and Objective:
The primary purpose of the annual meeting are association and promotion, as the microscope and microscopic groups in Croatia. This year the research group of Faculty of Textile Technology, will shortly present his work in the field of microscopy. Other research in different fields of science: chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, with emphasis on materials science and nano materials will be presented in the poster section. The first part of meeting have provided for the exposure of companies in the field of microscopy and the presentation of the TTF-SEM equipped laboratory funded by FP7 -REGPOT-2008-1-229801: T-Pot project. Collaborators will show a short demonstration of FE SEM Mira LMU device tt.Tescan and EDS detector for chemical analysis of the elements of tt.Bruker. Upon completion of the planned scientific and technical part, there will be a traditional annual meeting of CMS.

Within the European project FP7-REGPOT-2008-1-229801:
"Unlocking the Croatian Textile Potentials" (T-Pot)
and organised by
Textile Science Research Center (TSRC)
Prof. C. Q. Yang
fromThe University of Georgia,
will hold a lecture entitled:
"Chemical Analysis of Polymeric Materials Using Infrared Spectroscopy"
Lecture will be held on November 2nd, 2011 at 10AM at the Faculty of Textile Technology, lecture hall 301 (third floor), Prilaz baruna Filipovića 28a, Zagreb.
Second part will be the practical workshop organized at the premises of Textile Science Research Centre at Savska 16/9. Prof. Yang will be awailable for the questions/answers dealing with spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis or combustion calorimetry. FT-IR, TGA, DSC and MCC devices are awailable for the measurements during the workshop.
Workshop is open for all interested scientists/engineers, both from the academic and industrial sectors. Award ceremony of Textile Science Research Centre of the most successful scientific or artistic research work of young scientists in the field of textiles was held on 18th of July 2011.
The competition was divided into two separate categories:
1st category: for full time students of undergraduate/graduate students of University
of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology.
2nd category: for doctoral students of TTF
Papers submitted for the competition were collected, reviewed and published in the book entitled Young scientists in the protective textiles research. The promotion of this book was held on the occasion of the TSRC award ceremony at the premises of Rectorat of the University of Zagreb.

“Innovation management”
The workshop is a joint initiative of listed partners and funded by the EU project:
• FP7-REGPOT-2008-1: T-Pot, coordinated by TTF.
Aim of the workshop is to intensify the cooperation between academy & industry. The topic of Innovation management has been chosen in order to present the importance innovation potential mapping and the further exploitation of knowledge gained within RTDs, SMEs or their joint efforts.
